In light of the current Covid-19 situation, here are some alternative food delivery services from local caterers and shops. You can still enjoy your rural retreat, while supporting local businesses – it’s a win-win!

 

Sloans Catering

Welcome a private chef into your holiday home virtually, with an online dinner party! Decide your dinner party theme (bistro, fine dining, or Italian for example), and Sloans will deliver all of the ingredients on your chosen day. The majority of the ingredients will be pre-prepared, so that you can then enjoy a live Zoom with the chef to guide you through the final cooking stages and presentation of your chosen menu.

Prices start from £22.95, for a minimum of 15 people. Email sloanscatering@hotmail.com for further details and to discuss your requirements. Please note, this is not available at Shiningford due to the limited mobile/Wifi service.

 

Sauced Here

Grocery deliveries of essentials, picnic packs, or dinners that are ready to be popped into the oven. All food and drink is from local Peak District suppliers, and can be ordered here for delivery to any of our holiday cottages.

 

Rhubarb Sweet & Savouries

For a hassle-free holiday, Rhubarb Sweet and Savouries can deliver picnic boxes and afternoon tea caddies to our holiday cottages. Call Lisa on 07596 511615 to place your order and choose your delivery date, or browse the food on offer here.

 

Market Place Fish and Chips

For guests staying at Ashbourne Hall or Standlow, this Ashbourne fish and chip shop are offering a collection or delivery service, Wednesday-Saturday between 4.30-8pm. You can view the menu here, and place your order over the phone – 01335 344780.

 

Fresh Choice Green Grocer

Fresh Choice will deliver fruit, vegetables, dairy and baking products to Ashbourne Hall, Standlow or Shiningford. Guests at Hollywood House can still order fresh food for Click & Collect from Ashbourne. Use their online ordering system here.

 

The Cheddar Gorge

A full grocery shop can be delivered free to all of our properties. Ring 01335 344528 to order from their extensive deli counter or selection of essentials listed here.

 

A.L.Hulme Fishmonger

This Ashbourne fishmonger is open for click & collect, or deliveries upon request, every Thursday-Saturday between 8.30am-4pm. Call 01335 342141 to place your order for fresh fish from Grimsby.

 

Ashbourne Bakehouse

Delicious breads, pizza dough and baked goods, with free delivery to Ashbourne Hall and Standlow. Order by 2pm for next day delivery, with payment by BACs or over the phone. Call 01335 347206 or email lisa@ashbournebakehouse.com.

If you are driving into Ashbourne from the south, it’s likely you’ll be coming past Denstone. Click and Collect on your way to our holiday cottages for a wide selection of groceries and drinks, found here.
