Travelling by bus to our wonderful venues

Buses offer a great way to ease your journey.

For all our venues, make your way to Derby Bus Station and then take the following buses to the venues:

For Shiningford and Shepherd’s View Lodge take the 114 or Swift bus from Derby to Ashbourne.

From Ashbourne to Shiningford – Take a 110/111 heading to Matlock and get off at the entrance to Carsington village and cross the road to Sheepwash Car Park.

From Ashbourne to Shepherd’s View Lodge – Take the 411 heading towards Parwich, and get off after 5 minutes at Kniveton Church (or The Red Lion pub if you want to stop for a drink or bite to eat first). It is then a 1 mile walk to the house.

Local taxi companies

Many of these companies can offer minibuses or small coaches to help with larger numbers. They should all be booked in advance.
Remember with our venues, Shiningford & Hollywood House, full size coaches cannot get access.
