Standlow Barn & 4 cottages provides a rural venue for up to 35 guests, and a large dining / kitchen/lounge for you all to mingle, dine and relax.
The Barn also has accommodation on the first floor to sleep 7 guests, and the adjacent 3 cottages each have two bedrooms and a double sofa-bed. The 4th cottage has 4 bedrooms with a double sofa-bed.

The celebration Barn sits in communal grounds of 2 acres, which include gardens with two fire pits and a children's play area.

Guests at Standlow can make use of the large games room with a full-size snooker table, air hockey, table tennis & bar billiards.

There is also a grassed paddock with goal posts, for outdoor activities and sports.

Standlow is situated above the village of Kniveton, 3 miles from Ashbourne and 1 mile from Carsington Water in Derbyshire.
With our very own village pub, 'The Red Lion', within walking distance that offers award-winning meals, this is a must for those visiting.

Ashbourne & Wirksworth are within a few miles and offer a multitude of independent shops, restaurants and supermarkets, plus local carnivals and music festivals held throughout the summer.

Carsington Water is located 1 mile away and provides cycle hire, an 8 mile cycle trail, shops and cafes. It is a beautiful area for water sports, trekking and dog walking. Standlow is a dog-friendly venue, with a nominal charge of £30 per dog.

Foxglove Cottage has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It offers an open-plan kitchen/dining/lounge, and a private hot tub in the garden.

Daisy Cottage is positioned closest to The Barn, and offers an open-plan kitchen/dining/lounge plus two double bedrooms.

We can add a single fold-up bed if you wish for this cottage to sleep 7 guests. Please note that there is a £100 charge for the extra guest.

Clover Cottage is next to Daisy, and is a beautiful Derbyshire stone cottage with all amenities.

Clover is a great cottage for up to 6 guests. The outside patio provides garden furniture and a BBQ for summer evenings, with great views over the Kniveton valley.

In front of all the cottages there is a terraced area with garden furniture and a BBQ. From here you can take in the stunning views of Kniveton valley below.

Just a 5 minute walk down into the village of Kniveton brings you to the village church and pub, ‘The Red Lion‘. Kniveton and the surrounding areas offer a plethora of walks and trails.

Carsington Water, Wirksworth, Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Ashbourne are all beautiful areas to visit and only a short drive away.

Should you wish not to venture from Standlow, there are numerous local suppliers that are happy to come and prepare meals, waiter and clean up afterwards - a great way of feeding larger numbers without too much hassle.

With the large games room, grassed paddock and children's play area, the gardens can entertain all ages.

Should your numbers increase further, Foxglove Cottage can be added onto your booking. The Barn can dine 25 - 35 guests in total if required.

Bluebell Cottage is adjacent to Clover, and is another beautiful Derbyshire stone cottage with all amenities.

If you want to spend more time relaxing and less time cooking, we can help!

For £39.50 per person we can organise a 3 course meal for your group, to be served in the comfort of our holiday cottages. And best of all, you don’t have to worry about the washing up afterwards!

The private chef can be added onto your reservation, either at the time of booking or at a later date. Please be aware that these are subject to availability though, so advance notice is highly recommended. The minimum number of guests for the £39.50 meal is 14 – if your group is smaller, please get in touch for pricing and options.
