With a table football table, BBQ and hot tub, Shepherd's View Lodge is ideal for stag weekends. It is a spacious 7 bedrooms house that can sleep 14-16 guests (depending on whether you would like to use the bunk beds). All 7 bedrooms can be arranged as twin single rooms, so that nobody has to share a double bed, and each has its own en-suite.

Within walking distance is the village of Kniveton, featuring The Red Lion, a good local pub that welcomes Shepherd's View Lodge guests.

Situated just a short drive from Shepherd's View Lodge is Carsington Water, which offers cycling, walking trails, water sports and a Visitor Centre. Sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and raft building are all available. You can also hire bikes to take the cycling route around the reservoir. The historic town of Ashbourne is located 3 miles away, and contains an assortment of shops, pubs, bars and restaurants. The nearest city is Derby, where you can find nightclubs, escape rooms and laser tag.

At Shepherd's View Lodge you can keep the whole stag party entertained, whatever the weather! There is a hot tub, fire pit and BBQ on the terrace, and a games room upstairs.

Located at the bottom of the Peak District, the holiday home is a great base for an outdoorsy groom who likes climbing, abseiling, hiking or caving. We can arrange various activities for you, to make planning a stag do easy, or you can scroll down on this page for a long list of fantastic attractions in the local area.

Check-in is from 4pm, and for stag parties leaving on a Sunday, we offer a late check-out of 2pm to ease those hangovers before you depart!

Arrange for caterers and activity suppliers to come in yourselves, or for a hassle-free planning process, we can organise it for you. Our Stag Party Packages can be added onto your house hire to give you two activities and a private chef-cooked meal. The Sporty Stag Package - £99 per person (minimum 10 people)


* Dodgeball
The dodgeball referee will split you into two teams to dip, dive, duck and dodge for 60 minutes.

* Sports Day
Old school sports day games in a knock out style competition. Bring out the space hoppers and javelins...

* Full English Breakfast
Recover the next morning with a hot breakfast, cooked by a private chef in your stag house.

The Full Stag Package - £99 per person (minimum 15 people)

This includes the following:

* 3 hours of outdoor activities
We can bring a mobile climbing wall to you, or you can drive to a nearby activity centre if preferred. You'll also get to try out archery and learn bushcraft skills.

* Whisky tasting
Tasting session run in our holiday cottages by a whisky distillery manager (so you don't have to drive anywhere!).

* Meal cooked by a private chef
A chef will come to our stag venues to prepare a BBQ or sharing platters, depending on the weather. Expect to see slowly-marinated chicken, steak and sausages on the menu! Vegetarian options are also aplenty, with veggie burgers, kebabs and jacket potatoes on offer.
