Bradley Hall was adapted by Hugo Meynell in 1772, from a stable block of a former large and moated manor house belonging to the Knivetons, due to the original timber framed manor house burning down. It was used mainly as a shooting lodge until ownership transferred in the 19th century. In 1900 the Clowes of Norbury reduced the west range making two separate dwellings. This was reinstated in 1993.
Mr & Mrs Wrigley bought the Hall in 1994 and further reinstated the west wing to its former glory.

Yew Tree Nook 5* & Lady Pond Retreat 4* These Luxury Self Catering Properties can be hired together or seperately to give a total of Five Bedrooms & Five Bathrooms sleeping up to 14 guests. There is a large wooden table in Lady Pond Retreat that can be added to, this enables large groups to dine together. Both properties have large open plan communal areas. Situated in the lovely village of Bradley yet only 2 miles from Ashbourne, perfectly situated for a visit to Alton Towers and a walk in the "Peak District National Park

Yew Tree Nook is the conversion of the original wine cellar which commenced in 2004 and was completed in Spring 2005. This unusual conversion retained the original vaulted ceilings and stone arches, but blended in with the modern amenities that were needed for todays living. It has been described as a `a blend of heritage and comfort`

Lady Pond Retreat was converted within this west wing , completed in Spring Adjacent to the hall is Lady Pond which still holds its original water wheel. This wheel in its time would pull the water from the lake to the dovecote that stands in the grounds of the Hall to feed the gardens with water. During 2004 a fishing lodge has been built and with permission of the owners, BBQ`s can be held down by the lake. This gives a splendid `vista` of a summers evening.
