    1. 2. What is the minimum booking period?

     

    We offer 1 night stays Monday-Thursday, while our weekend rentals are for a minimum of 2 nights.

     

    1. 3. What happens if I need to cancel?

     

    Once the holiday is confirmed by Ashbourne Self Catering Ltd, the guest has entered a legal contract which is non-refundable under any circumstance. The full terms and conditions can be found here.

     

    1. 4. How can I find your holiday cottages?

     

    Addresses and directions for each venue are here. Please note that coaches cannot access Hollywood House or Shiningford.

     

    1. 5. Do you have floor plans for the properties?

     

    Yes, you can see our floor plans here.

     

    1. 6. Do you allow hen and stag groups?

     

    Absolutely, we welcome hen and stag groups. We just ask that you are considerate of neighbours or other holidaymakers with regards to noise.

     

    1. 7. Is my dog allowed to come too?

     

    Our holiday cottages at Standlow, Shiningford and Ashbourne Hall are dog-friendly, as long as you have booked your pet in with us in advance. There is an extra charge of £20 per pooch.

     

    1. 8. What are the check-in and check-out times?

     

    Check-in is 4pm. Check-out is 10am Monday-Friday, or 4pm if you are departing on Sunday.

     

    1. 9. Are the hot tubs open all year round?

     

    Yes, they are heated throughout the year. If you have booked one of our holiday cottages with a hot tub, you can use it between 7am-10pm. Please check our full hot tub regulations here.

     

    1. 10. When is the pool open?

     

    The spa pool at Hollywood House is open from March to the end of October.

    The outdoor pool at Shiningford is open from Easter to the end of September.

     

    1. 11. Do you provide towels?

     

    We provide 1 towel per guest for 1-night stays, or a hand towel and bath towel per guest for longer stays. If you are staying in one of our houses with a hot tub, please bring pool towels.

     

    1. 12. Do I need to bring washing up liquid, bin bags or tea towels etc?

     

    We provide cleaning products and basic supplies to last a couple of days. For longer stays or large groups we’d recommend bringing additional bin bags, toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets etc. Please note that although we supply hand soap, we do not leave shower gel, shampoo or hairdryers.

     

    1. 13. Is there a BBQ?

     

    In the summer months we leave BBQs outside all of our holiday cottages. You will have to bring charcoal and firelighters to make use of the BBQs.

     

    1. 14. What is in the BBQ pack at Hollywood House?

     

    Hire of Hollywood House includes a BBQ pack for you to use in the arctic cabin. This contains briquettes, marshmallows, skewers, napkins and plates.

     

    1. 15. Can I bring in caterers or other outside suppliers?

     

    Yes, just give us the details of any external suppliers when you return the checklist before your stay. Please note that any caterers or activity providers setting up outside will need to bring generators if they require electricity.

     

    1. 16. Can you arrange catering or activities for my group?

    1. 17. Are extra day guests allowed to join us in the holiday cottages?

     

    Extra day guests are permitted for a surcharge, if agreed in writing by Ashbourne Self Catering Ltd in advance of your stay.

     

    18. Can I get a supermarket delivery to the holiday home?

    Yes, most supermarkets deliver to our venues. Please ensure that you have booked the delivery for a time that you will be in to accept the order.
